Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These terms govern your use of conditionaleffect.com and the sale of our products to you. Please read them before placing an order. By using this website or placing an order, you accept these terms.
1. About us
This website is operated by Conditional Effect. CIC, a Community Interest Company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17264750), with its registered office at Flat 407, 9 Dyche Street, Manchester M4 4FU. You can contact us at contact@conditionaleffect.com.
2. Using our website
You may use this website for lawful personal and business purposes. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use it in any way that could damage or impair the site. We may update or withdraw content at any time.
3. Our products
We make every effort to describe and show our products accurately. Images are illustrative and packaging may vary. Our coffee is a food product; please check packaging for ingredients, allergens and best-before information. Products are subject to availability and we may withdraw a product at any time.
4. How a contract is formed
When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. We will send an order acknowledgement, but a binding contract is only formed when we confirm dispatch of your order. If we cannot accept your order (for example, the item is out of stock or there is an error in the price or description), we will let you know and will not charge you, or will refund any payment taken.
5. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (£). We are not currently registered for VAT, so no VAT is added to our prices. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. We take reasonable care to display correct prices, but if we discover a genuine pricing error we will contact you before dispatch.
6. Delivery
We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. Delivery options, costs and estimated timescales are shown at checkout and in our Returns & Delivery policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Your rights to cancel, return items and obtain refunds — including the legal exceptions that apply to perishable food such as coffee — are set out in our Returns & Delivery policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund as provided by law.
9. Our responsibility for loss or damage
We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by us. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses, as our products are supplied for domestic and internal business use.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos, brand names and design — belongs to Conditional Effect. CIC or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not reproduce or use it without our written permission.
11. Events outside our control
We are not liable for failure or delay in performing our obligations where caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event occurs, we will contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise any delay.
12. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one in force at the time you place it. Please check this page before ordering.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
