This policy explains how Conditional Effect. CIC collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use our website, contact us, or place an order. We are committed to handling your data carefully and in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

• Enquiry details — your name, email, organisation and message when you use our forms.
• Order details — your name, delivery address, email and phone number when you place an order.
• Payment information — handled securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but do not store your full card details.
• Technical data — basic information such as IP address and browser type, collected by our hosting and security provider to keep the site running and secure.

Your shopping bag is stored locally in your own browser and is not sent to us until you check out.

3. How we use your information and our legal bases

• To respond to your enquiries and provide samples or proposals — based on your consent and our legitimate interest in handling enquiries.
• To process and deliver your orders and provide customer care — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep records for accounting and tax — to meet our legal obligations.
• To maintain the security and performance of our website — based on our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we will only send you marketing if you have asked us to.

We share data only with trusted providers who help us run our business, including: Stripe (payments), delivery carriers (to fulfil orders), our website host and security provider (Cloudflare), and our form/email provider. We may also disclose information where required by law.

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterwards. Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required by law (generally six years for accounting purposes).

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. We use local browser storage to remember your shopping bag, and our payment and security providers may set cookies that are necessary for the site and checkout to work. We do not use advertising cookies.
